Comparing Different Cultures

Monday was the first of what Mrs. Naughton’s 2nd grade class at the School of Dual Language would normally do as a culture rotation. After defining and sharing examples of what makes up different cultures, they used three examples (arts and crafts—weaving vs. quilting; libraries—buildings vs. books delivered by burros; and games—bingo vs. lotería) from three different countries to compare and contrast them with those cultural aspects in the U.S.
